chanman,
How much are you willing to put out? Steve at GMR just put together a 124" in my '05 FLHTCSE2. Just past break in andstill dialing in the tuning with the DTT autotune but it sure pulls hard. Expecting numbers in the 140+ range. Give steve a call and see what he can do for you.
Well I have a few dollars to spend. I was at the Harley dealer and I guess they have stopped any performance work due to the Feds cracking down on EPA Now I dont know if that is being done nationally or just here in California, (Where as you all know everything is a little weird)
I was told they could sell me vance and hines pipes, but could not install them. They could sell me the heads and pistons and cas but could not do the work. Weird.
As I have thought about this I believe torque is more important than HP to me.(Chime in and let me know if my thoughts are misguided)living in Ca. We are pulling up the sides of mountains often and I just live to be riding along with others and see them giving it all they have (stock 88) and no there is no more, but either my Rk with the 95 build with 211's or the SE Ultrahas plenty of throttle left (and some)to continue to pull up these steep grades
The one thing that concerns me is when I first got the SE I was at The Love Ride and having to sit in traffic I swear if I would have had to sit for another two minutes I would have had to come off the bike The back of my right leg was about to burn up.That 103 runs hot !!!I have solved that by dual head pipes but it did not like when we ran across the Nevada desert in July and it was 116. As soon as we got in the higher mountains some of the clattering stopped and it ran great.
I am wondering if I decide to do a build as stong as the one you are talking of just how much heat will be coming off that engine.
Thank you for the input
Chanman
hope you can stand me trying one more time, plus look for wild thing set up by kuryakn ,i here they really make more power for 103 engine, i know they are in J&P and other harley catologs.
purple haze again, could you tell me what all you bought and from whom, and what part's and install would run me, i sure would like to have that H.P & Torqe, i live in Dallas so i have not heard any ban by e.p.a on 06, but i think i'm glad i did not buy 07, seem's like they have voodoo curse with ,heat, strike's, E.P.A , and at first i was going to buy 07 springer with 110 motor, but thought about buying first run model and the bug's that may pop-up on new engine, just like car's, don't buy first run. but anyway please let me know about part's and cost of install. thank you. by the way, i all ready have s.e.r.t,K&N,D&D Boarzilla 2in1, Dynoed at 1000 mile, allmost 100H.P &Torque, but need more!!!!!!!!
