went from a 2002 SERK to a 2013 SERK and here are my thoughts. No driver backrest, passenger sissy bar way is the shorty not even regular height. Handel bar to narrow. The mail slot windshield is only good for looks and some good wind. I also have a regular RK windshield for cooler weather. Saddle bags look bigger but hold less due to speakers in the lids. Other than that, its a screamer.

I just bought a 2013 CVO RK. I love it, but hate the handlebars. I want apes, but I keep getting the run-around regarding the hydro-clutch n apes that have the cutout for the clutch reservoir. Can you help me out? What bars did you go with? Whats the height? What length hydro-cable did u get?
I just picked up my 13 CVO King last Saturday. Have only had a chance to put 300 miles on it but I love the bike. It runs like a bat out of hell. I agree the stereo is not as good as a road glide on highways but thats because the speakers are low mounted. People behind me enjoy the sound better than me at 60+. That being said 90% of my driving is not on the highway so I like the King better. If I did more highway miles I'd have gone road glide.
Hey Gatorlaw, I'm trying to get in touch with you. bnut I can't PM u.
I am considering the '13 CVO Road King. Can anyone share their experience with one? The Good, the Bad and the Ugly...
IMO, one of the best CVO's Harley has made. We too were not impressed by the OEM system at speeds, so we added a fairing with XM, and GPS and it really brought the bike together. The next phase will be for us to add an amp and better speakers to what is already there for a person to hear the system better, and not have to add a fairing if not wanted.

Sorry it's been crazy. The bars are Carlini limited edition flying apes. They are 16" which is perfect shoulder height for me 6'3". I didn't do any of the mods on this bike I bought it as it is pictured above. Apparently the previous owner got it in October last year and started customizing it for bike week. Traded in on a CVO Road Glide to start again. All I can say is he took a huge loss as I priced out all the add ons and there has to be at least $10-12k in parts not including any labor or dyno time that was done...
