I believe most of the issues with the 110" are ironed out by 2010 model. Issues were primarily reported on the earlier ones 07, 08, 09. I am really impressed with the 110
You'd be surprised, Dennis. If you've got some time and feel like inducing some worry into your rides, check out the Twin Cam section on the CVO Forums.
While several issues have been resolved, one huge issue that remains is the rate of lifter failures in the 110". Some people are actually replacing lifters every year as preventive maintenance.
I'm closing in on 30K on mine, hoping to hit it before winter (this summer has been an 'off' year for my riding). That said, I'm planning to pull the cams out, inspect the lobes, replace lifters and replace my inner cam bearings with Torringtons. It may not prevent a scattered bearing/lifter failure, but maybe I can hold it off a little while longer.

Otherwise, I'm really pleased with my 110".
I do spend time on the CVO forum and have seen some of the posts. Lifter failures seem to be high for a lot of HD engines. I try not to worry "too" much when I see these posts as you always have to take into account that mainly the folks with problems tend to post. I do think we tend to over emphasize some things.
Having said that, I normally take proper precaution, do periodic maintenance and just ride leaving the worries behind. Overall I am very pleased with the 110".

I really think you nailed it with that one. There's not a lot of people that register and sign in to post how their lifters are doing great at 45K. It just doesn't happen.
Now, I'm not saying that you or I, or any other CVO owner won't have problems, but it is what it is. I'll do what I can for preventive maintenance in the meantime.
I bought my 2010 in December. Like the one you're looking at, it had 5K miles. It also had Fulsac X-pipe, 2" Fulsac cores and TTS tuner. The bike didn't have a mark on it. I bought it from a private party for $26K. I can't compare it to a 103 or even a 96 but it has a lot more spunk than my 88, (stage 2) Dyna had. I like everything about the bike except the rear shocks (which are supposed to be a great improvement). I went to Progressives and the ride is much better without any change to the handling.
Did you get the 416 series rear? My dad has a '10 CVO Street Glide. Love the bike, but damn i find that rear shock is hard. It sends shock waves through my body. Looking for a good replacement for it. I've heard of people swapping out Road King rear shocks as well
I have a 12 FLHX SE with Thundermax tuner & Freedom Performance exhaust. Had to sit in slow to stopped traffic for about 40 min. Check engine light came on for a few minutes, then started to blink for awhile & when I finally moved to the shoulder & got some air to it, it went off. Security light came on for a while too. All cleared about 2 miles down the road.
Could heat & tuner combination be the cause? No codes. So hot that I got scorched on my right leg. :-(

I had the same problem. The OEM shocks at the softest setting we way to hard and made for a very jarring ride. I installed the 944's. Puchased on EBay from Eastern Performance for $524 with free shipping. They are 13 inch but sit 1 inch lower.

Thanks man. Thats the one we are currently looking at. But I have also been told that a regular 13 inch touring shock from HD would do the trick, any thoughts?
