Stock Harley has 4 1/2"f front suspension travel. A 1" lowering kit regardless of wheel size is still pulling 1" out of the front end. My oil choice is based on my aggressive riding style as I do this with most of my bikes (stiffen them up to handle better). Distance with a big wheel is not an issue. I have found the 26" on my chopper really settled the springer down and made it an enjoyable ride. A lot of big wheel bikes are trailer queens, but not all. The same can be said for the number of choppers and baggers that roll out of trailers during bike week.
I just like to know as much as possible before I start pulling thousands of dollars out and jumping in.
I am reading about problems folks are having with the forks bottoming out on pickard/23 conversions, and I'm trying to learn more. Really liking the Tricky 9 degree trees that work on a stock frame. Built chops before, but never raked a bagger....this is my cruiser.....taking a break from bar hoppers.

There is nothing wrong with gaining knowledge. I did my research also prior to making my purchase. At that time I purchased what I believed to be the best for my application. I'm changing now to go bigger simply because of the better offerings on the market. I would not hesitate to go Pickard again with a 23".
