2013 FLHTCUSE issues
Picked up from Dealer around 6pm last night and ran good on way home. Guess what, this morning still same issues.
This is my first SE bike and maybe the issues are normal for a 110 engine?

There are plenty of others who know the 110 has noisy top end (sounds like the valves need adjusting, who experience decel pop, who experience intake backfiring and engine stalling. Completely stock bikes so no poorly done mods.
I will say that I have a couple of friends that have 09 and 10 models that are less inclined to backfiring.
We'll see how Harley fixes mine very soon, the lawyers have now agreed it needs to be fixed and that Harley wants me to be happy, they now want to have another look. It has taken 7 months and numerous visits to two different dealers.
We'll see.

I had Rinehart XT True Duals installed with a SERT and dyno tune.
I sometimes have a slight decel between gear changes at lower RPM's and an occasional backfire just before it starts.
A also have the valve "ticking" and I guess that's a sign that either my radio or my pipes are too quiet.
However, occasionally when going through the gears under light acceleration, and at about 2800 RPM's I hear a slight "knock" or a lifter "float" and that's gonna have to be corrected at the 10,000 mile service.
I'm changing my fluids tomorrow, and the next time I hear that noise, the dealer will have the bike until they find the problem.
It may be a simple problem, but as long as that bike is under warranty it ain't my problem.
FWIW, way back in '75 (AMF days) I bought a new FLT (Electra-Glide) from Roy's H-D in Pontiac, MI, which had a bad lifter noise.
The owner of the dealership offered me another bike OR if I would keep the bike, he guaranteed me that he "would make the bike right" and he kept his word.
After a complete rebuild, he told me that if he had had a new engine available that it would have been easier to install it than rebuilding mine.

It's the "knocking sound", which I think is a lifter not being fully pressured, which happens occasionally is what has me concerned.

As far as the lifter/psiton slap noise during acceleration, it may be normal...
At 1k had the factory fill dumped and Amsoil installed, at 5k I dumped the Amsoil and put Schafers Supreme 7000 in it and no differences in engine noise with the different oil types. It's still there when the bike gets up to normal or hot temps.
Once I get the bike back, and since mine sits in garage overnight and it's colder than inside the dealership, service mgr wants me to video bike starting in the morning with backfire and stall issues.
I'm taking bike on a four-day trip next week so hoping no issues along the way.
