I've heard that the CVO group is going to stop making the 07 Screamin' Eagles this month - any truth to this? Any rumors on what is planned for '08?

They are not going to stop making the 07's this early in the model year!! They will build them up until the date they are forced to swap over to the 08 models, which won't be until June/early July.

In '08 they are going to have a Screamin' Eagle Serivcar.

They will do the SERK for another year, maybe the Dyna and Springer, but that is subject to debate as they have not sold as well. Some kind of other bagger will be in the 08 SE lineup...could be a SERG.

Blues - what's the source and degree of accuracy of your info?

I'm priviledged in my work in that I get to go to the Motor Company in Milwaukee often. Specifically, I go to the Capital Drive facility and through several levels of security and signed non-disclosure agreements, get deep into the bowels ofthe Willie G. Davisdon Sytling and Design Center. It's like going to Disney World for me - even their office cubes have authentic HD gas tanks atop each cube.

I tell you this via background because on my last trip there (Feb.), they were well into styling the '09 CVO model year (the '08's are obviously done by this time of year) and the MOCO treats the type of info you just disclosed here as if it were a matter of national security - with the highest levels of confidentiality. Trust me, that's not an understatement.

Having said that, I hope you're right and I can't wait to see the '08 SERK because I want that bagger :-)

The source is complete conjecture. They will not stop the production of 07's until they tool up for the 08's. I was seeing 06's being delivered to dealers well into July last year.

The CVO Ultra Classic has been the best selling CVO bike to date. If they follow tradition, the 07 will be the final year for the SEUC. The SERK was first done in 02/03, skipped four years and came back in 07...if they follow tradition, they will do the SERK again in 08. Although the RK is considered by some to be a touring bike, it is not a full blown touring platform like the EG, RG, or UC (no Batwing, radio, etc), so I predict there will be one, maybe two other fairing bikes next year. It is time for the SE Road Glide again, as they have not done that one since 01...However, not everyone likes the RG look, and baggers are selling like hotcakes, so don't be surprised to either see another year of the SEUC or a SESG (Street Glide), with a matching tourpak as an option. The SE Road Glide is going to happen though, and they will sell very well this time around, with a 110" motor, and matching TP. The SESG will be basically the same bike as the 04/05 SEEG, as those are where the SG was born in the first place.

And don't forget the Screamin' Eagle Servicar model...
