Default 07 Ultra vs. 08 and up

I'm looking at a 2007 Ultra CVO with just over 800 miles on it and was wondering if anyone has an opinion of ride, handling or any other comparisons of the newer bikes with the bigger tire, new frame or any of the other recent changes compared to the 2007's. I demo rode a few 09's earlier this year and liked them. Any input is appreciated. Thanks

Thumbs up

I've got an '08 and I like it over the '07 because of the bigger tank (5 vs 6 gallon), ABS/Brembo brakes, IDS rear sprocket, and Throttle by Wire. I haven't ridden an '09 but folks apparently really like them. I have a Ride Str8 brace so it would be interesting to compare handling. I love my bike and wouldn't trade up.

Is the CVO bike the SE edition? If so, then your talking the bigger motor, etc. Kinda hard to compare that way. The newer bikes ('09 +) are also slightly heavier if that matters, but they have a higher payload. I would think with the extra weight and bigger rear tire the mileage would be slightly less if that matters. It's gonna come down to what's important to you and what the price difference is. All in all you're not gonna go wrong.

True....the 2007's had major issues with the lower jugs sweating oil. A friend had the gaskets replace twice, third time they replaced the motor.
