Shovelhead smokin'

BTW......regarding head gaskets, some can appear to fit perfectly but can actually move a few mm when tightening the head bolts. This can result in the oil drain hole being partially blocked. I have bought some head gaskets where the oil hole is clearly not as big as the drain hole in the top of the cylinder. If you are very careful, you can open them a bit with a small, round file. But you will no doubt bur over the soft aluminium which is in the middle of the gasket. Removing the 'burred' edges of the newly enlarged hole can be difficult. Don't know why some companies make the hole in the gasket too small in the first place.
