Front Master Cylinder Lever Doesnt Return

Hello, 82 FXR front brake level doesnt return after pressing. I have a new master ordered, but wondering what you think about whether it is safe to ride in mean time. Brakes work fine. Probably piston spring soft or broken??

Master cylinder rebuild fixed mine. I rode it until I had time to fix. Really just caused brake light issues for me

Just had this happen to me two weeks ago and warped a rotor in the process. Bled brakes on the side of road but rotor was F'd too bad to ride. Figured out master cylinder was trashed not allowing the pedal to return freely. Rebuilt master, new brake line, changed spring, new rear pads, and new rotor. Lots of things can snowball with a rotted out brake system. My vote is to fix it before you damage more parts.
