you have that a bit off - all Harleys from the factory EVO - shovel - are dual fire ignition be it one or even 2 plugs per cylinder - you can buy a single fire ignition what that does is fire one cylinder at a time instead of the waste fire as its called from Harley
in my shop we use the ultima ignition and a dyna coil not the ultima coil as its junk
but dyna's kit is also a good unit -- they as an electronic controlled ignition has switches to change it from dual to single fire for you combo as well as a rev limit and advance curve for performance mods
OK thanks for clearing that up for me. So what would you recommend the ultima electronic ignition and a dynamic coil or would you recommend the Dyna kit and be done with it
I am in jersey - you can buy what ever is cheapest in a search for both
OK which dyna kit is good. I saw race said that the Dyna s was out dated like mine was so I was just wondering what you thought. Also on the ultima to program it you have to buy the program kit also. Damn I was hoping you were in missouri with your shop lol
all the ignitions today are plug and play almost or maybe a little wire ends
go to your local indy say hello and get his opinion on a replacement and cost then go amazon and even flea bay - if he is close then get it from him - they all come with good directions

Right on man thanks for the info I'll see what I can find
As John said. Get an Ultima and a good coil and your good to go. You definitely want a unit with a led that helps you set the base static timing.. So much easier..
Racepres, I have a n older Compufire with centrifugal advance. pm me if your interested....
