Has in My Body!!!!!!!
Im fortunate to live in a state that has plenty of stations that have non ethanol fuel. There are ten in my town alone. As of 2021, Oregon had a population of roughly 4 million and there are 303 stations that carry non ethanol. California on the other hand had a population of 39 million and there are 25 stations that carry it. But then California is going all electric by 2035 so there wont be a need for gas stations. What a joke.
Just got back from a 60+ mile ride. 37 mpg on stock '69 FLH with Bendix carb. I only run non ethanol premium in my bikes. If you run corn squeezings, expect a 10% reduction in mileage at least.
My '76 in my signature had a "B" and got 45mpg on the highway, It ran extremely well even with the 1 3/4 drag pipes. When I replaced the "B" with the "E" (put the old jets in the new carb) mileage was the same.
I have only owned FX models, 5 in all. All got nearly 50 MPG and I am in the rural mountains, not much highway riding. Some got 55, most right around 50, and my current 1984 FXEF gets 49 with 1-3/4" drag pipes and an S&S Super E. Those mileages held steady one up or two up.
