Strange Shovelhead
I noticed in the picture that things didn't seem normal. Notice there is a lot of space between the frame and rear head. The fron legs of the frame are a bit longer too. When I got there, I found out the engine had delkron cases. The seller said it was stroked to 96" cu. in.
The heads have removable plugs on the carb side. The heads also have fittings that let it drain oil through hoses to the cases.
There is a belt drive in the primary cases.
The frame is aftermarket. For now, I'm going to guess it's a Santee. The frame has been repaired before and is now broken at the rear bottom behind the kicker.
This ain't my first Shovel but it sure is different. The only thing H-D is the suspension, gas tank, fenders, and transmission.
I'm currently trying to ID the flywheels.
