Shovel Kicker
Ok....
Just had my motor & box rebuilt ('79 1200 FXE).
First proper ride out today,taking it all easy. after around 30 miles I started to hear a ratchet type noise, no idea where it was coming from so pulled over....stopped..all sounding good. Pulled away again and in no time same noise was back, happened to look down in time to see my kicker dragging on the floor in the 6 o'clock position. As I pulled over it returned. Gear changes are fine.
Crawled home. Stopped the bike once, kicked over no problems. After getting home I went to kick the bike but the kicker isn't even biting now, just slipping round ( under force), won't turn the motor.
I just got on the beer..I'll have a look on Monday but has anyone got an idea as to what the problem may be?
