Im a twin cam guy that's going to try to help my friend work on his shovel and learn some things along the way.
Starting with basics he had a shop put this SnS carb on with a ROUND filter and this cover, both are wrong the filter don't seat and the cover only bolts up in the front two bolts.
Want to get a filter n cover so crap don't get in during the work process.
S&S "B" and "E" covers do Not Interchange...generally this is evidenced by only two screws lining up..
Someone has been Cobbling on that poor thing...
It is an '80 Model year...but, I can't make out the first two [number letter] combination...for Model
Guessing it was an FXE, but....
I especially like the way they smashed the rear pipe down to get a Socket on the exhaust port Bolt!!!!
You may want to start with one that has had a better Life...Or...If you enjoy a Challenge...Post away!!!
Oh...and if he's gonna overfill it while on the sidestand...he needs a better fuel cap...Unvented on the left side...
i think i have a used cover for that but i am leaving for a antique swap meet in the morning PM me if you want me to send one i take pay pal when i get back monday

It runs ok actually! It's just sat outside all year / no garage not even a tarp, then he let the lowest bidder work on it (rode it till something breaks).
It is a E carb mounted on it so if ya willing I'll trade him covers.
Oh...That may come Last...It don't really hurt it...Save making work till ya need to remove the Primary for whatever reason like when it don't charge!!...Or, It ain't rocket science to do without removing primary...Up to you.
Curious why help a Guy that don't help himself???? Anybody leaves their Bike sleep outside is Not gonna get my Help!!!
Poor don't count....Builders square Tarps are cheap - Free....
