Default 49-77 fork tubes...

I need to re-thread the top hole on a set of tubes.

As near as I can tell the tap I need is a 1-3/8" 18 threads per inch.

Is that the correct tap size?

Thanks,
Gregg

Lay it against the threads on the cap bolt and see if if the threads line up or get a thread gauge looks kinda like a feeling gauge with little saw blades on it.

Not a common size tap and new tubes would cheaper than the tap if you can find one.
