Default Rivera pro clutch

Thinking of installing pro clutch on 71 fx superglide, will I need a press for clutch hub??

FYI, a buddy waited almost 2 months for his rivera set up. Apparently they are doing some reorganization and this is slowing things down. It has been suggested that they are moving some of their production off shore?

Stop thinking about and do it. That is the best upgrade I made to my shovel. Have been running it for nearly 20 years with no complaints. I have found that you need to keep a little extra play in the cable so that the engagement/disengagement point is pretty close to the grip. The springs are stronger that stock and will force your fingers out midway through where you have less control of them. the real upside is no more grabbing and groaning!

I had to wait about 2 months to get mine as well. But it's a really nice unit. You may need a hub puller to get the old clutch hub off, but you won't need any special tools (apart from maybe a cheap primary chain locker) to put the new one on.

Changing out stock clutch for Pro Rivera was one of the best change outs that I did on my 70 FX (AnnaG). Once dialed in there is no foolin around any more because she balances so easy and precisely. I have an open primary with belt and she is quiet and smooth. I love it. I use the kevlar racing clutches which have an extra plate and clutch over stock. I have had my for over 10 years now without any troubles. Yes, I run them dry.

I have a BDL clutch on my 78 - the BDL requires the press - also a great clutch compared to stock - although if you just use a tamer or ramjet with police style plates the OEM is excellent and mostly problem free

If I'm not mistaken, Rivera Engineering has closed their doors.
