We got a class named HD Breakout on our strips that for 1/8 and got a cvut on 7.2 sec - so around 100 horse is enough for that class..
Most are riding sportys and evos in that class but i might be getting a complete shovelhead engine with new rebuild bottom/crank that i want to put into the bike and use for a dragbike..
Anyone here got some shovelheads with around that ammount of power? Can the stock 4 speed hold? i know i might need another clutch..
I can't answer your question but around 1990 we'd go to Lebanon Valley drag way here in new York just about every weekend to race our bikes. I had a 883 sporty...not fast lol. The fastest bike there was a shovel head powered bike that ran mid 9'S in the 1/4 mile and the sound that thing made going down the track was crazy...your gonna have fun.
You can always call Scott at Hillside I believe he still has that shovel drag bike on the showroom floor there. His number 315-495-6550. He can fix you right up..
