Default Blacked Out Chrome....

Thought I would like to try something different on my totally chrome 77 FXE...... I took the front fender off this morning and am going to use that blackout paint and seal it... The chrome isn't in the greatest condition so why not. Any one try this before? I thought a little black tint ( more like a translucent paint) would look a little better than all the chrome... Before
First coat..

Default Second Coat

Here the second coat. I think I'm gonna leave it at that and clear it... Can't wait to get it back on the bike. Hard to truly tell till mounted... The sun kinda gives it a Black Pearl look w/flake.. I'm loving it....

I have had a "thing" for Black chrome since I first saw the stuff.... many moons ago!!
I am Not Certain it was not simply Powder Coat or Some-Such...
I [accidentally] shot a Black Chrome Piece with some #6, and it Chipped off... to Bare Metal!!
