its missing pieces and it was installed up side down
Still have a whine. No whine in neutral put her in gear start down the road and it starts.Tryed pulling in the clutch no change .What do you suggest doing. Thanks for helping any suggestions would be appreciated
I realize what one hears in an explanation can be different then what someone in a shop would call it or say about a noise, having said that my original thought would be the countershaft thrust washers you have two, the left side one might have seized - but usually that causes it to lock up but not always < and the rollers / or cage bearings froze up or close to freezing inside the countershaft cluster gear
NOW it does not do it in neutral - so what in the trans is moving and what is not till the bike moves
neutral - the engine sprocket shaft the clutch hub with its roller bearings and clutch outer shell > main shaft in the trans - also main shaft main bearing is not in play because its all spinning and not making noise or the bushing inside of 4th gear as well
first gear and moving forward - the hi gear roller bearings or the later cage bearing - the counter shaft and its bearings flanked by its thrust washers < the countershaft is the most common in a noise issue
remove the transmission completely - if your mechanically inclined and have ability the guys can guide you in and out of this repair < pictures and correct part names is a must
