Okay, first I apologize because I don't have the HD pedigree like all the others on here, but I just did a quick look at these two shovel head AMF bikes. They've been sitting for years in a dry basement.
They appear to be matching #'s bikes. With titles. The vin # on the basket case ends in H1 the dresser in H8. The dresser appears to be a conservative 7 outta 10 on the finish. The basket case may have more parts somewhere.
I know it's way subjective, but can anyone help me on a ballpark offer? I'll probably look to flip the dresser. Maybe the other one, but maybe not. Any ideas on the model of the basket case?
Thanks in advance! Oko
Basketcase. Carb all seal with plastic bag. Maybe in the final stages of an overhaul? 16k on speedo.
I did get the years from the vins. The models
for both are 2A - FLH. Ive got to see more of the 1st bike. Ya know, tins, ect. Im thinking $2500-3000 for both.

$3k is a steal, if you can make that happen just do it, you will make money. Based solely on the pics and assuming nothing else of the '71 is there, that bike is worth $2k with a title. The newer one running $5-8K. With titles I would offer $5k.
Nah...disagree. $2,000 isnt a steal. Heres my $.02: by the time you mess around with it and get it right, that bike w/out the primarys gonna cost a couple grand easily to get on the road unless you want to spend 4 years and countless hours hunting down used stuff, most of which is overpriced. Not to mention the all the work in getting it right. My baddy gave me a 72 FLH that sat outside for ten years. The bike was complete. I still dumped over 5k into it taking it from this:

You found a rarity, on both coast's shovels are going up in price quickly, intact stock ones can and do go 5 to 8K easy, a beater buggered up runner out here starts at 5K. That stripped but very clean 71 is worth $3500 easy.
