So i have an issue with the speedo....my tach works just fine but the speedo doesnt work at all....could it be the piece that the speedo cable goes into? Is it possible it is just dirty and doesnt need to be replaced yet?

did it just stop working or never worked? could be the cable core broke too. won't know until you disconnect the cable from the speedo and check if it is turning like john lee said.

if the cable is turning with the front wheel, then the drive unit is doing it's job.
