3 13/16th bore x 4 1/4 stock 80 wheels - leinweber L-3 cam - 11:1 CR - compression releases - dual plugs STD panheads -- the exhaust is 1 3/4 to 1 7/8th to a merge collector to a 4" cone with a disc - I DID not want this type of power .. its insane -
thanks -- this build is way more engine than I wanted.. its streetable just a ton of power - end when you shift to 3rd it pulls the wheel up-- my crazy wife loves the power - don't know if you remember she had a 79 sporty with robinson thunder heads and a set of Andrews "Y" cams - MAN every time she rode it I got complaints of her running the bike over 7200 rpm and pissen people off who just wanna parade ride -- im glad sometimes she has 8 years of wing chun to her.. gets expensive bailing her out for fighting -- if you notice on her leg you can see a scar -- she got squished between 2 cars and she had a 10" stainless brace. that didn't even slow her down -- she older now and I hope not as wild .. she also has bone cancer so I have to cut her some slack .
yeah the bike I sent the heads (shovel) to a well known drag racer who always on shovelhead.us - big mistake -- he totally destroyed the heads -- my doctor who I build bikes and cars for bought me the panheads -- I got the cylinders off fleabay -- the dude had them listed as "needs sleeving" they started life as 3 3/4 bore trock cylinders - they were .050 over (3.805) when I got them -- lol #300 for them - axtell bored them to 3.8125 and shortened them to 5.400 -- I worked them till I got 11:1 compression -- the oil returns empty to the front of the cylinder and to rear on the back so the oil is dumped on the thrust surfaces of the pistons -- carrillo rods -- it has a leinweber L-3 cam - I have a J-1 and a J-2 and a L-5 - those roller rockers are from baisley $850 - -- I weigh 276 lbs and I can stand on the kicker and it wont move -- yeah compression releases -- I hid the coils between the tanks and wraped them in heat shield -- this ****er is LOUD-- shitty idle -- gone is the potatoe-potatoe -- sounds like a 383 gm stroker -- I have one of those also -- -- I used ferrea valves -- the exhaust valves are tulip shaped they look like turbo exhaust valves ferrea claims 20% more exhaust flow -- - I built a bunch of these with trock cylinders but this ****er flies -- the high compression helps -- I have the squish set @ .003 -- even when it gets hot there no spark knock - I ran 87 octane in it and the only time I get a slight knock is when the oil temp is 200 -- the timing is set @ 30 and the plugs (autolite XS65) is set @ .028 -- fires right up-- it runs 180/190 200 if I get stuck in traffic -- I have a small electric fan I think im gonna add it to the cooler for traffic -- --
