Has anyone had any experience installing a lever action solenoid? I have wired it per the directions that were included and all I'm getting is a clicking noise from the relay that was included with the solenoid.
I have my shovel wired very basic with no extras. I know the starter works because I jumped the terminals on the solenoid under my battery box and it spun. I don't have my lights or points hooked up yet
but I would think that wouldn't matter all I'm trying to do is see if the lever will spin the engine. Battery is new and fully charged. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
86 is the start button -------------------------- I dont know what your lever does its ground ????? or hot 12 volts
30 is 12 volts in
87 is the s term on the second relay
85 is the ground for the relay
Heres the original instructions if that gives a better understanding. I have seen the relay setup your talking about and I did try grounding 85 as opposed to putting it to the ignition switch as a test and nothing happened. The lever does ground it self to the inner primary
Check that you're getting a ground through 85 and 87 when you activate the switch.
Just because you hear it click doesn't mean it's closing.
With everything hooked up, touch a grounded wire to 87. This will bypass everything and activate the starter relay.
