Any idea what this might be worth?
Your probably not going to like that part.....most likely 500 less than u have in it. 2 in my area because flht...3800-4000. The one for 3800 friend bought and stripped for parts....shame it was a nice bike. For some reason not a popular bike.... i sure as hell would ride it. But wouldnt touch one unless 3 grand as i inow i would never see 4500 with lots of work later on.....these arent flipper bikes yet...

The FLHT I had, was the best Distance Rider we ever ... Ever, had... no comparison certainly in the "Shovel World"
We parted company because it was just to heavy/tall/unwieldy, for me..
I'm gettin too old to push the thing around... and if I cannot push My Bike... it becomes someone elses bike!!!
I sure Miss the Cushy Ride tho...

Note the FLHT is Not an FLT... Not lots of big differences... except that the 1983 FLHT, was the First FLHT, and the Only Shovelhead FLHT...
FLT's are still inexpensive... "H" t's???? Not so Much... if un****ered with...

This FLHT is missing rhe bags and fairing. Plus, its in at best fair condition. The motor is sound, but the rest is showing some age. It is though a very good platform for a full restore

"Restore" is Not a term I hold in endearment... "Saved" is more in line..for me anyway.. The Bags are commonly replaced...especially on early Evo Touring bikes since they are just a PITA to open and Close, and are even More likely to loose the lids than the 4-speed bags... should be easily obtained..
Seems to me the Fairing in mine was not that unlike the good ole batwing on a 4-speed... Find a friend [or real Indy] with one on hand and stick it on there... at worst I suspect the mounting holes May need some modification..
Saving it is Not an Instant gratification thing...and Flipping it is Not really gonna be lucrative either...If you do Not intend to keep it for a pleasurable Rider... I would Off it Now to get something your heart is In... Life is too short to [....] fill in the Blank

I have an 1985 FLHT and a 1981 FLT - different machines for sure have both for a while and cant say what one I like better - but for the money 3 grand buys an evo with under 40 thousand miles you cant beat it for a garage keeper - when what ever else you have is down - and I have seen a few with 20,000 miles in perfect shape for the same money

what I like some twinkle owners don't - they do not have the TVs front and back - the backup camera - the cell phone all weather bag with wi fi music to the helmet - and on and on and on

and the T shirtS that says ( love to ride ) -- but the 12 year old -- FRE4L641- B+9 -- WOLKING DUWOP DIDDY WHOP -- bike has 4000 miles on it under the lams wool cover

Put a price on it you can live with..,than sit on it and enjoy it...relatively cheap fun if it doesnt sell. One thing i like about bikes...they take up no room. Hot rods when i gotta sell one...its gotta go they take up too much room after 3-4-5-6 lol
