Since the B has no accelerator pump...it could be the gas in the float bowl heating up, and causing a bog when you take off...the B's are very unforgiving as far as tuning...

When you get tired of it...put an E on it...

Is it the needle and seat for the float warn? See a lot of old stuff get this way. Long as it is above idle, it can tolerate the slight leak. Not sure if this old would have a vacuum petcock and sure you cut it off manual. Does it have a vent tube in carb? Let it sit off with fuel on and see if carb spills over. Probably will take a while with that slight leak.

Amazing bike man, it's perfect. You should put a kicker lever on there.

Thanks. It never was close to original so I’ve made it the way I want it.
Kicker arm is back in place. Not sure why I had it off at that point.

I’ve had the carb completely apart. Everything looks acceptable to me. If bike is going to sit for more than an hour or so, I always run all gas out of carburetor. Never noticed a leak when I didn’t though. Don’t see a vent tube.
Thanks for the ideas. Runs great except for what I described sitting in traffic. Which isn’t real often.

Also, I don’t have a tach but I like my bike to idle a little higher than most. I don’t have her down there barely chuggin along.

You are got going to be able to see the problem in needle and seat with a leak that small. The hole gets rounded rather than square flat from vibration.

A S&S Super E would likely make the bike run better, all around better carb due to the accelerator pump. But if she is only giving you an issue in a certain environment, try avoid that environment. Plus it is going to start cooling off, they love the cool weather. Makes lots of odd behavior go away when it cools off. Good looking bike for sure, I would change the bars to something more traditional and foot boards, but that is just personal preference, nice bike and good luck.

I am not much of a changer but I last about 15 minutes with those straight bars. But I am 71

Thanks. Oh yea, it definitely runs better when it’s cooler.
I took some more traditional looking buck horns off of it. Just not my style. I rode dirt bikes for years. Just feels right.
Have some floor boards. Will be on it eventually.
I have pondered getting an E carb. But it’s kinda like the old super b is part of this bikes personality to me. Along with the drag pipes. I’m an old dude but I still love drag pipes on a shovelhead.
