Default FX & FL - Same Frame?

Hey guys,

Looking for a nice 2-1 exhaust for my '75 FXE.

The Thunderheader is an option, however the rear header pipe curling around to join the front takes away some of the visual appeal for me.

There's a FUBAR on eBay but given the $1,395 ask it's been on there about a year now, and likely to become a permanent resident.

LSR Racing seems to have decent ones, however the particular style I prefer is listed for the FLH.

Doesn't my machine have the same frame as the FLH?

the exhaust differs because of two things - bigger battery box and kick starter.

Yes to the above...
only some slight differences in weldments to the frame thru the 4-speed Years... otherwise frame is same...until 1985/6...the Evo Engined 4-speeds... quite different backbone indeed!!!
Yea I know... the MoCo claimed some varying "rake" for many models... but the only thing that actually changed was the trail Numbers...this by rake and de-rake of the Trees....

This is the Pauhgco I went with for my '79 FXEF. Helped give me some lower end torque with no other major changes other than adjusting the jetting as witnessed by the discoloration.

I always liked that Dresser 2 into one... with no left side crossover, yet kicker clearance... but not on an FX for me...
The Crossover staggered duals [stock] headpipe, with free flowing glasspacked mufflers is the ****...
and if there is Not a K&N filter in that little bitty air box.... yer leaving alot on the Table!!!!
1200??? or 80 CUin??
