I just added a kicker to my '70 FLH this past winter. Old cover from the MoCo, needed the inside welded where it cracked at the kicker arm bushing, no big deal, then fresh chrome. Stock kicker arm and pedal, arm did not work with my exhaust, had to buy offset arm from W&W in Germany. I did it once with the $80 gears from China, it was a bit of a train wreck. After one week, tore it down again after learning a lesson, then all Baker internals. Works like a charm and honestly to me the bike looked wrong without a kicker. Have used it many times for show and for a day when the electric starter was not working. Good luck.

But, an old cover from the MoCo for a 1970... would Not have a kicker!!! Special order??? yea... Oh...and no Chrome from the MoCo for that either...
The stock exhaust goes right accross the place where the kicker goes...and there is No way yer gettin around that!! Different exhaust required...
Agreed, no chrome but my '70 is a chrome ***** started by previous owner, easier to go along with the program then go backwards.
The cover I scored I believe to be the '65 thru 69' version, looks like the 70's FX cover but without the over fill screw in the cover, or sightline or whatever that screw is called. I already had true duals on the bike, so plenty of room and no mods needed for the exhaust.
