high torque starter

ok I give up which is the best high torque starter for the money anybody use 1.4 kw starter?, ok I ordered a Jireh thunder jet much cheaper than the spyke ain't no joke but no mounting instructions

I only use the 1.7 starter and its also china - but all ***** is even more pricy

but today they have 300 plus or even 500 amp battery's

oh yeah have a 325 amp battery but that haitachi starter is shortening out it don't last long

My 77 had a Hitachi when I first got it a few years ago. What I did was I switched to a Prestolite high torque that I bought off of eBay for $99, 1.4 kw. I also had to change the starter housing because the through bolts are 1/4x20 and also had to fab a rear bracket. But never an issue, cranks very nicely..
