i took my shovel for a ride after sitting for 5 months and oil dripped out the breather meaning oil seeped past the check ball.whats the best way to reseat it without taking off the pump. thanks
we see all different things happen with the ball - I have a tool to re seat the pump body's seat - yea it works most of the time - when a pump is off and going back on we made a tool to lap the seat using a 3/8 ball end push rod - again that also works most of the time
that brings us to hitting the ball to re seat it - I broke a couple of pumps before any of the tools were invented hitting it too hard - and its not done in a real shop today they just replace the oil pump -- well that is also not written in stone to work every time
