hey john that 5 ohm coil was for the kick start and points as I remember
And...as John points out... also for the first H-D EI the Prestolite, and also for All...each and every Dyna-S
Now if you have a sponsor, and believe that more spark energy is somehow a performance enhancement.. you can burn your Dyna-S right up using 3 ohm coils for "more energy" BTDT...
BTW Starting method has nothing to do with which coil ...
We haven't hooked up yet. He got called back into work (he is a fireman). And then this week didn't pan out cuz I had to take our cats into the vet (one for check up; the other for chemo).
And this weekend is out. Flying to Philly on Friday with a couple of friends for the Army-Navy game (2 of us are Navy, two are Army vets) on Saturday and then flying back on Sunday. So looks like next week (depending on his schedule).
vet = animal doctor. Oldest is 17 + (like over 100 in human years) and he has been fighting cancel for abouth the last year. Doc thought he would be gone 6 months ago. He's a survivor tho. Recsue cat (all have been). Came out of a house fire. Always made him a bit odd but he's become really mellow as he has aged.

Sorry should have said Veterans..
But I do have feeling for your cats.. had to put my last dog down.. hoping I don't have to do my current buddy....
Totally agree on that score John. Just that Panz had mentioned in previous post that he was going to miss the game because he was going to help his buddy work on his bike.
