Default Primary gearing

My 82 for wasn't fast enough so I went to a 25 tooth compensator. Problem is that the primary chain is way tight. Added 2 links to the chain and it is way too lose can't adjust the slack out.
Now I'm thinking about going to a 27 tooth compensator. Researching this I saw that there is like 30+ tooth for twin cams. Can I use any of these t.v. compensator?

turn the adjuster up side down and turn the shoe over

they make a master link for a primary chain -- sorry but I need to see that part number - if you bent old pins over to make it longer - the next thing you need to do is look for an engine block and primary covers - its coming you may not think so but it is

And its not pretty when it lets go.....seen cranks and trans damage also
