I've been under the impression that my 84 shovel is an 84 shovel but the inside of the primary looks different than the videos and manual. The videos show bolts holding in the starter bendix and it looks like I have a large flathead screw on the outside. The numbers are painted over so they're hard to read.
You are showing the Cylinder numbers... don't mean nuthin...
Picture number 2 shows some of the area where the Numbers should be... right in front of the front lifter!!
Unless perhaps there is an abbreviated VIN on the left case... up high..
The Primary may or May Not be Stock... is it still Belt drive final??

All 84's... Shovel or Evo had 4 stars where the VIN used to be ...and an abbreviated VIN on the left case
