Clutch Issue? or something else
On my 1983 FLT,
I start in first gear and start moving slowly 4 or 5 feet at most and then the bike just jerks to a quick speed. The bike is moving on its own power in first gear, and it just seems like a clutch plate drops & catches when it takes off. I'm slow on the clutch handle release, and this doesn't happen every time. It's kind of unpredictable, mostly when it first starts for the ride.
Any suggestions on what to do, I'm not a mechanic, but I try the simpler fixes on my own.
