Default Super basic question

Hello all. I inherited a beautiful, well maintained '72 FLH. Bike has been in storage for about a year with battery out and fuel drained. Battery is a small 12V bought in Europe, so it is not obvious which way it goes into the battery tray on the bike. It could go with either the + terminal on the left of the right- not good for a guy who doesn't know anything about the bike and did not remove the battery. The battery cables on the bike are also not marked. So my super basic question is which is the positive battery cable in the pic below? I believe that it is the one on the right but I want to be sure before connecting the battery. Thanks!
Matt

I'm pretty sure the one on the right is +. Take the seat off and follow the one on the left, it should go to a grounded bolt on the frame under the seat.

What he said above. Take off the seat, the one on the left should only be about 12" long going to a lug on the frame, that is ground or - if you prefer.

Yeah, these guys are steering you right. Just follow one of them to ground and that's your negative.

I don’t think you need to take off the seat. Just shine a light in there and you’ll see the left cable going to ground. Right cable is positive. Never seen one any different.

How long has the bike been sitting? Looks like a lot of accumulated dust on it.
