amazon is the cheapest usually for avons - no white walls
junk tires today 1 inch whites - the 2 thin white is dumlop
Well i dont want junk.....i get carried away with speed and distance when i know tires are new. Been pretty layed back with these ole rocks... not much on dumlops but ill go look. 2 thin white might be nicer than wide white.....no idea why i like them in this bike.....not much on whitewalls normally .
What kind of wheels you have may determine what kind of tyre you should select. Spoked wheels usually need tubes and a bias ply is in order, the advantage is they are more robust in construction and can handle more weight not as expensive as radials they have a higher profile for the white wall you want. Dunlop makes a white wall called Cruze Max I think. If you have tubeless wheels you have the option to run radials. They are more expensive but offer the safety of running at high speeds without excessive heat build up, better cornering and breaking, larger patch of rubber on the road, and a smoother ride. Some say they get more mileage out of them. It is not recommend to run tubes in radials, but I know a couple of people who have with no problem. I am going to try to get one more season out of my skins on my flht and then I want to try a set of radials I think.

Spokes FLH-s so its a light weight... milage not much of a concern...( after doing 18 tires this week for customers) looks and ride my concern I run avon cobra chrome on everything new and like them a lot.... they just will look like chit on the ole farm tractor
I put the Dunlop American Elite tires on my Shovel, with the skinny white wall. I was going to do Dunlop D402 that HD has been putting on their touring bikes for years, my local Indie convinced me to try the AE. They were on the bike when you saw it at Terryville. Very happy with them so far, and I ride mostly two up. And the skinny white wall looks pretty good from 10'. Works good at highway speed and in the twisty's. The Shinko 240 with the double white wall looks great even up close, but not made for actual riding, just trailer queens. Stay far away.
Lol- not sure what that says about my riding architect, Im getting on fine with the 240s. Happy at 70+ but havent had them in the wet yet-that might be interesting 🤔
come on bum install porter walls you know you want to
kicked around tires for this ole tractor in my head all day...i hate dumplops...but they look good. Like the speed masters tread....probably suck on our junk Ct Ny Ma roads... just stuck on whitewalls. I'll probably just sneak around on 20 year old tires.... Probably dust it off tomorrow and service it..... hate letting it sit in the corner..
