Default Brake Drum Cooling Ring

Figured I would share some pics of the newest addition plus a big public thanks to Johnjzjz for the help getting this thing looking right. I have been unsuccessful trying to buy one of these for a couple of years, I think it is a great looking accessory piece, this one is the real deal not a V-Twin chrome hunk. I also like it on a '70 as the drum is on the right side and it is really visible when parked. And who knows, maybe it will actually keep the drum temperature down. I should have bought the one I saw in Trumansburg last year, but the guy wouldn't separate it from the brake it was attached to, but I paid the same so not the best business decision. but now it is done, even if it was the long way around.

As I bought it, big chip missing from the cast aluminum:

As returned to me from John after his expert welded her all up, John also gave her a glass beading:

Then after some Mother's Aluminum Polish and installed on the bike:

After all of that in my un-air conditioned basement, I decided to install my front brake light switch, which has never been connected since I have owned the bike. bumped into a OEM harness/switch in the package on the Bay, easy install and we have lights.

Overall a good Sunday and more things working on the Shovel as they should.

Not sure when they started adding them, thought you might know?!?!?!

I had the wire into the nacelle and the switch was in the brake lever perch, but the end of the wire connections at the switch were missing. I figured a brand new harness to get the connector and then a new switch was a good thing. Wired it in same as previous wires, worked first time. Sometimes it is easy.
