No. I don't have the pay grade to do that kind of work. Maybe if it was a Ford Mustang... I am having trouble finding buyers in my area. I live alone in a remote area, I can't just have strange people coming up that I don't know...without meeting them on the deck with a large weapon. If anyone has suggestions on how to sell it safely, I'd welcome them. I don't want to die for it.

That is a nice bike.

So shovelheads: You might not find a buyer in town but there are a whole lot of buyers out there for that bike. It's not the best time of year to sell a motorcycle either.
I agree that there is no point in making repairs. Someone looking for an old shovelhead is going to be willing to make repairs. The few extra bucks you might make having the bike repaired might not be worth the heartburn. A used vehicle dealer would be a good place to sell it but not be involved with the showings. Harley dealers usually only want new bikes at least where I live and therefore wouldn't even consider them.

Don't even think that bike is not valuable, it is.

must be a bike shop in your state or local 50 miles you can sell it through - your neighborhood looks not like ghetto and your husband most had rode with some one from time to time maybe he could help or them if he had a couple of friends

My neighborhood is very rural. You'd be surprised how fast friends disappear after your spouse dies and my family is very far away. I'll try looking at consignment shops again, even tho most are farther than 50 miles. Thanks all for the advice.

It was taken at my house in KC before we retired to the Ozarks in 2014. That's pretty much been how it's looked since then since my husband got sick right after we retired. Here's a picture of it at the lake before we moved down there...there's a ravine in the background, you just can't see it, until you're in it.
