Default Release disc and clutch plates

I am finishing putting the primary back together. This was in the bike. The clutch was never an issue and I was going to use this release disc that looks like a flying saucer. I know it’s not OEM but it worked just fine. Does anybody know how to set the spring tension on this or am I going to have to buy a new release disc? Another question , do I need to clean the steel plates and friction discs before

I put them back in and with what?

the green discs with the alloy center plate is a barnett clutch and a good one - question the steels do they have a springed ball on the sides - or are they just flat steel and 2 types of those are available with 1/2 large cutouts or all the same size cut outs - some times you need a lot of product experience even to ask a question

the alloy clutch hat is a go to in the shop when ever we do anything to a clutch as it keeps the unit straight when operating - we set then at a 1/16 over one inch measure from the alloy hat to the rolled over edge of the steel disc - if it feels to tight back off one click each on the nuts - only till its starts to slip - weather you have 3 nuts possibly oem unit or 5 nuts defiantly china - this can be done with the derby cover off

the center screw turn in till you feel it making contact with the TOB then back out till loose in threads only just at that spot - i know what the book said but that was all brand new
