heres an up date on my series II limited edition project, this has ben on hold while i was involved in completing my 1985 FXSB Low Rider, now that is almost done i spent some time prepping some parts for my series II Project.
i wanted to get these parts gold plated but my plater said some of the small parts he couldn't plate, so ive done the next best thing & Gold Painted them ! i was looking for a 1980 - 84 Low Rider ,when the '85 came along ! now that its almost done i wanna get back on this build !
i might have found a good candidate for this build its a 1982 Low Rider that needs to be brought back from the Dead ! Lol
my NOS OEM paint set from Australia i got last summer . . .
here are the Parts i prepped & painted this weekend . . .
& heres the barn find 1982 i am currently looking at . . . she's rough, . . . . like Toby Kieth sings, . . . "I Like EM Rough" Lol

thanks for your post ! that limited paint set is a series III edition, i have an OEM NOS set waiting for a Machine like this one to put them on !
they are asking 16500€ a little pricey but mostly original with a ratchet top trans with Kicker . . .but i think its a re-paint ,there's no "AMF" on this '79 Tank
& heres my NOS OEM Series III Limited Edition paint set , whats really cool is that they are Black Cherry Metallic !

the listing from Mecum is titled wrong ! what is shown is an FXE Super Glide with the Series III Limited Edition Paint Set from 1981 ! they probably listed it as it was given them from the original owner !

Whoever did the description at Mecum for the "Jim's Forever Collection" like to label their bikes as Sturgis edition. The 86 FXRS Statue of Liberty Commemorative Edition I bought was also labeled as a Sturgis.

I know 79 for sale nearby that has this paint set and brass hardware set on it - similar to that you painted. They are asking $10k for it and wouldn't budge when I inquired last year, the bike still hasn't sold.
