My 1977 FXE has the Brake Light Switch in the housing and it works. There are no wires attached to it. Should it be Soldered or should it have removable terminals pushed onto the blades? I have to wire it up myself, using Red and Orange 16 Gauge (or 18 Gauge) wire. Also what size are those terminals if that is the proper way to do it?
I found them to be a pain to fit & push on spades were too bulky to fit & close up without grief,
so I did away with it & used a Hydraulic Banjo bolt on the front master cylinder & haven't had problems with it since.

How did that in and of itself, fix, the wiring???
Those little (stock) spade connectors are a pain... but not Insurmountable... especially if the alternative is solder.. getting them cheap *** switches hot, ruins them ..
Find them small spades...and do Not solder them... so they are a bit flexible.
