We see a fair amount of S&S carbs and using the wrong bolt on the bottom cracks the bowl

for me its cheaper to buy a chunk king for the bowl then buying a bowl and a kit

I will tell you that I've taken all the advice into consideration.

I still have the original Keihin carb that came with my shovel in 1975. I have distinct memories of the pain and anguish I experienced kick starting that bike back in the old days.

I also remember the joy and happiness I felt after putting on the Super B and getting one kick start-ups. After adding the Nostalgia Cycle Super Bowl, the S and S has worked marvelously. No problems, easy starts, quick acceleration.

It suddenly occurred to me, the advice a tank mechanic gave me way back in the 70's, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Think I'll just keep the dependable, trustworthy pipe with the holes. No offense intended.

like they say, better the devil you know,...
but if you ever get a chance to try a Lectron take it,
you'll be well surprised how good they are, one kick starts, they have a real choke system not just a 70 year old enrichment device,
fantastic power gains across the board as well as better MPG,
no adustments needed other than the idle, & on mine I didnt even need to adjust that,...
the only down side is they ain't cheap, but i think the extra is well spent just on the grin it put on my mush..
& with no kids & I dont drink, it didnt take long to save the green to buy one.
goodluck with ya S&S fella

Such made in China carburetors are pieces of rubbish and only good for one thing: To throw into the bin can!
This Carbs are made by tinker factories.
A friend of mine bought a CV40 Keihin carb. He was assuming to bought an original one.
But that one was fake. He worked nearly 1 week setting up the carb, but his Evo didn't work.
I gave hime my old one just for testing and: his bike runs from beginning.
I personally never would bought such chinese rubbish even it cost a 10% of org.
