Default Clutch Pushrod assemblies

My parts book goes 1971-1984. My 1977 FXE has the older style throw out bearing / clutch push rod assemblies in it. My question is about the Release Finger, part # 37070-39B. My Release Finger is in perfect condition. Is this the same Release Finger as the 37070-39B? I would assume the 39B means it has been the same for a long time, i.e. since Knuckleheads???

I need to replace the entire assembly, 37305-70. It appears that most of them come with a new Release Finger. I am probably going to get one of the made in Japan Assemblies, but there are some made in USA Pushrods only, 37285-75A. I have the other parts, O.E.M. except the Oil Slinger. If that is the same Release Finger I may go that route.

I know that back in the late 1980's, I toured the York, PA plant and saw lots of crates and boxes marked Made In Japan. I don't have a problem with Japan made parts. I hate made in China parts. I always remember the old saying: Pay too much for a part and you are out a little money. Pay too little and you may be out everything as it may not work at all.

ETA: I don't know if it is worth rebuilding the old style one or not? It looks like it just came apart with the only thing being broke is the large snap ring. I have to see an older parts book.
