Default FLH fairing brackets

I have a complete genuine HD batwing with all the brackets. Iam assuming there must be two styles of mounting brackets because the one I have sits above and ahead of the headlight.I found some pictures of a 1979 FLH80 with this same arrangement while all other photos of older model FL's show the fairing sitting where it should be.I also notice the high brackets are squared off on the bottom while the lower ones are rounded on the bottom.I have never heard this mentioned anywhere so is this correct or am I missing something?

I’ll be putting my factory batwing back on in a few days on my ‘82. I am not sure when this change occurred, but mine definitely mounts with it covering most of the headlight ring bezel. Since it is off, I could take pics of the brackets on the batwing if you think that will help.

Oh yes pictures of the brackets and then maybe a few of how it fits the nacelle after it is installed would be awesome.I'm not sure if this was a change or just a different bracket but I have only seen these brackets one other time in a book. They are not pretty and I will not be using them but I was just looking for some clarification as to what they were. After 20 years of looking at this fairing I am finally going to use it. I searched some other threads here and the fit I'm after is the Blue 74" with the white fairing.

My Parts Book (from H-D) shows the Mounting pretty well..MarkSG 's mounts look functional, but, To My Minds Eye, Something is Amis...will look an awhile..

I will admit to the shield strip being a 5 hole for a late 77 and up and not the correct 7 hole for the early years.
The rest should be correct.

I guess I thought there were 2 side pieces...
Maybe I'm thinking of Windscreen???
Edit; Just had to go out and look...I must be thinking of the passing Lamps/Signal Mount as it is sandwiched in there!
again...cannot see that part well on yours but obviously it is there...
For some reason, my brain keeps conjuring up a short, 4 inch maybe, offset, 4 hole Bracket... But...The Mind is a Terrible thing to waste...and the brain cells associated with said piece may be Long Destroyed!!!

I will mention that this is for a 71 FL.Nothing here belongs to this bike except the frame, engine and title. This is not a resto. just my personal version of a 70's FL rider.Everything here is just sitting together for appearance mock up only. There is tranny gears to procure, cylinder heads to be done etc...etc...I know you guys like pics to see what we are talking about.

Okay, this is my first time posting pics on this forum, so it might take a few attempts, but here goes: 1982 factory batwing on and off. The only thing I changes were the fir mounting bolts that I made different lengths, so that I could swap top to bottom when running without the fairing. And yes that is a 5 hole windshield and original pouch.
