Found this on Craigslist in my neighborhood. Any thoughts? Listed as a 1976 FXE
4412 miles on rebuilt fxe. It hasn't ran in a few years since I got a super glide. It comes with 3 extra rims, extra fender 2 boxes of old parts....... Needs some TLC 5000.00 OBO
Too high,I see running ready to ride Shovels around here all the time in that price range or less.
Sitting a few years it needs who knows what, may be a can of worms and you could be upside down on it real quick.
Well, I went and looked at it. Seller claims drive train is original, I asked about the rebuild, he said he did a top end. The frame was filled and painted, some of the filler is cracking. Inside the tanks look OK, a little peeling of the liner. No gas in it tho (thankfully)
wiring looks sketchy, chrome is bubbled/ peeling
it has home made forward controls. I made an offer. If I get this one, it will get stripped to the frame and made into a cool cruiser. Way too much work and money to restore.
