1977 FLH
There was no FLHC in 1977. Hydra Glide refers to the hydraulic front suspension that first appeared in 1949 with the Hydra Glide embossed in the trim around the forks , but the later (1970s) bikes didn't have that markings on the trim on the forks. They had the large aluminum nacell around the headlight that covered the upper and lower trees. And as mentioned already, the FL models didn't come with kick start so at the very least there are some modications. But that doesn't make them bad, if done correctly.
If I were looking at the bike, I'd be concerned that the engine case numbers match the frame and title. Then check that the left and right cases are matched pairs, although that is more difficult. If you are looking for an original 1977 FLH, it doesn't sound like this is it. But it may still be close enough to put it back that way if the major components are still there. Pictures will help to tell what it is.
