New to the Forum (first post)
Looked at a 1977 FLHC yesterday (electric and kick start). Soft Bags and windshield, updated speedo and dash pod. Can you tell from the VIN that its an FLHC? What made the "C" bikes different? VIN starts with 2A for FLH. Anyone have production dates for 40775? Full VIN is 2A40775H7. I also noticed looking down at the headlight it is embossed "Hydra Glide". It that correct or is this possibly a different front end or just a piece of chrom trim.
Bike rides and shifts well, needs some electrical work (grounding) for turn signals. Enging rebuilt in 2022 (receipts). I had a 75 XLH back in 1980 - ran great. I ride a 2010 EG (purchased new). Appreciate any insight. Bike is on cycle trader in Ohio.
@HFDJR I have moved this thread from the Welcome section to the Shovelhead section as you will get better responses to your question in this section.
