Contemplating purchasing a set of Vance and Hines Big Radius exhaust pipes and modifying them to fit my Shovelhead. Anyone have any ideas on what would be involved?

Modifying them to fit a shovel, what,a little welding : - )
Look save the trouble do a search on shovelhead exhaust, I just had to get new pipes after the ones I use to run for a long, long time, had them re-chrome at least 3 times.
This time I have new things in the way so the old ones didn't have a chance to even come close to fit, I just got a set a Cycle Shacks they worked out better than I thought.
Who knows maybe someone else has some ideas.
Good luck, ride safe

Yeah, I knew a little welding would be involved. I was more concerned about obstructions and just how much cutting and piecing would be involved. I did a search for pipes but most of what I find is just the straight drag pipes which is whatare already on it. I'd prefer something with some curves to it. I did find one set from Wyatt Gatlin (Radii) but they mention on their site that these are not leagal for road use. I didn't want to spend $500 on a set of V&H only to butcher the hell out of them. LOL!

Your right abouttrying to get the model as close as you can, it's a pain in the a$$ getting exhaust for shovel's.
Leave the drag pipe on the track, they pretty much suck on the roads, the power band is too high, not like on the street running.
Man good luck I wish you well,
Ride safe,
