Default New shovelhead

Well, found my shovel.... Thanks for your help on past questions. No pictures, but owe you some later. Well, she is a 81 FLHS. Original ower bike, matching numbers of course. Two brothers bought 81s at the same time, one sold his several years ago, and the other just sold histo me.... Has the FL front end, but has forward controls, hence the "S" in the FLHS. No windshiel, fairing, etc on this model.Had aftermarket hardbags when I her,but came with none on this model. On her second rebuild with about 4,000 miles on the build, Andrews No. 1 hydraulic with Mikuni carb, electronic ignition, kick and electric, etc.Has a 45 tooth rear sprocket, so geared higher.A few things not working, but pretty clean, and cleaned up nice.I am so impressed how the paint has buffed out, it was a custom paint job, at first I thought that would be the first thing it would need... but not even on the radar screen now the way it buffed out. I will have a few carb and other questions for you later, but wanted to post ya and bring you up to date... Thanks again for your help....

Very cool. I bought an '81 FLHS new in 1981. It was red. Wish I still had it.

GrayRider: This one has since been painted, but it came in a rootbear color in 81. You look like you are doing well on building up you numbers, and have a couple of good keepers now.

Take care,
