i have a 1982 fxwg with a stock 41mm front end that has oil leaking at one of the seals, ill replace both sides.i have purchased the seals and boots, im looking for info on replacement of them. has anyone done this so i can get an idea of what im going to run into to replace them. like is there special tools, how much coffee to have on hand????LOL. just kidding on the coffee. but im just wanting a heads up from the masses in this forum that have done this job and can give me info on it. thank you guys

It's a fairly simple job. Get a manual and follow it, takes a little time(Sat afternoon) but isn't high tech. Now that the search function is back, you might get details from a search for 41 mm seals. The biggie is keeping pressure on the top caps as you remove them, there is some spring tension on them and you don't want to screw up the threads by popping them off.
