Hi, I am rebuilding my 79 80 in. bagger and would like if anyone thinks wet or dry on the clutch .I was thinking a barnitt unit so I do not have to have all the extra oil lines and have cleaner oil , no clutch junk in oil going to engine.
 \\;I just got done with my 78-8o in.
I am running the Barnett clutch with the primary blocked off, using ATF in the primary.
 \\;So far, so good, but I only put about 250 miles on it. \\;
 \\; That's correct, fill it to the bottom of the clutch hub with the bike on the kickstand.
 \\;I also ran a vent line up between the fuel tanks with a small fuel filter on the end to keep out the dirt.
A day late to this party but my .o2...
i have an 82 FXSB and am still running the OIGINAL dry clutch plates and spacers.
I vote for dry cluthes everytime,but thats just me.
Always a dry clutch in a 4 spd bike and the old style clutch setup . Wet just invites problems from the gate . Been the ruuning the blue hell outa them for 30+ yrs that way and no problems .
I'm still running the dry clutch on my (new to me) 73 which is what it has always had with no problems. What troubles could I expect if I switched to a wet/dry clutch? Everything I've read about points towards sealing off the primary.
